Dear Hostfamily,
my name is Vanessa and I am from a small village near Hamburg, Germany. I am going to be 20 years old, so I decided to take bigger steps and become an Au Pair in the USA.
I live with my Mom, Karen(49), with my Dad, Mario (50) and my sister Lisa (21) in Maschen (the small village I even mentioned). Maschen has an partner-city in the US, it is Decatur in Illinois. My sister is studying tourism hotel and event management in Hamburg and is going to have her semester abroad in Spain. Besides I have a boyfriend, Niklas, who supports me in every of my dreams.

I wanna become an Au Pair before I start a job training. I wanna see as much of the world as possible. And I dont mean just the most amazing country, even the smaller things. I wanna become member of an American family, your family! What could become one of the biggest things in my life! I dreamed about living in America for so long and now it is getting real.
I told you the biggest wish and best condition for an amazing year. On my personal to-do-list are also to catch a firefly, to swim with a dolphin, to make a roadtrip, to have a real american bbq, to see some exiting citys, and maybe to visit disneyland with the kids.

I started my idea of being an Au Pair with Cultural Care and wanna stay in this organisation, if possible. ( culturalcare ) I am sorry about it, but I am not able to take care of children under the age of 2 years!

Kindererfahrungen

I didnt tell you about my childcare experiences, yet. I was guardian on two different horse farmes for about 200 hours since 2007. It was great fun to work with kids and share the passion. I have always been open and friendly. I showed the kids that I am the first person they can talk to, when they have problems.
I had a three-day-long internship in an elementary school and it is amazing how open and cute these kids have been. They all wanted to play with me, read with me and sit next to me.
