Dear Family,
First of all, thanks for taking the time to look at my profile. Though I've spent several years as a nanny, I've never been an au pair before, and I'm looking forward to a new and exciting experience!
A little bit about me: I recently graduated from a university in Minnesota, where I studied English (creative writing and literature) and French. I also spent a semester in Rome and Athens. Now I'm living at home with my crazy (but wonderful) family....two parents, three younger siblings, and five dogs. My interests include piano, tennis, running, reading, and writing.
As a nanny for the past three summers, I divided my time between two families, one with two young girls (ages 1 and 3), and the other with three children (ages 9, 11, and 13). I love children, so it's the perfect job for me! With the younger girls I enjoyed telling stories, playing "pretend," making up games, spending time outdoors...basically anything that sparked their imaginations and kept them entertained. For the older children, I organized lots of crafts, baking projects, picnics, and other outings. I became very close with both families, and I often find myself missing them during the academic year.
