Experience

I have experience caring for newborns and toddlers, as I have been very active in assisting my sister with the care of her first child, who is now two. I love working with children. They bring a special joy into my life and I love knowing that they look up to me and enjoy spending time with me. I worked at a school for the Deaf in Knockpatrick, Jamaica, for three months, were I taught classes daily and helped them acquire both sign language and English language skills. I also worked one on one with some children and spent a lot of time playing with them during their free time. I volunteer at a children's Deaf camp every summer, and have worked mostly with children from ages 4-9. I was also fortunate enough to be an Aupair for a family in Spain for the month of August 2011, where I worked with a wonderful seven year old girl and helped her improve her English skills. With this family, I also helped with their seven month old twins.
