Letter To Family
Dear Host Family,
My name is Alesya, I’m 22. I’m from Russia, from a small town Pskov. I like my town, it’s very beautiful. Pskov was founded in 903, there are many churches and holy places here, and they make the town beautiful in any weather.
My family isn’t large, it consists of my grandmother, mother and me. I have a cousin, but she is like a sister for me. She is married and lives with her husband separately. My sister is 9 years older than me, I had never quarreled with her. My mom is a great person, she always understands and helps me. She is a teacher of vocal; she is very multifaceted and creative. My father, unfortunately, died when I was 10.
About me I can say that I’m energetic, friendly, attentive, caring and I love children. I study at the Pskov State University at two departments – Public Relations and Journalism. I finished courses of psychology and a music school, I went in for choreography and painting. I can play a piano, a flute and a guitar. I like to spend time with my family and with my friends; I like traveling, reading, knitting and cooking. I cook well, because my grandmother cooks very well and she taught me.
My first babysitting experience was in 2009. The boy’s name was Vitalik, he was 4 years old at that moment. I fed him, we played and went for walks.
In January, 2011 I started working in a kindergarten, looking after 12 children from 1,5 to 3,5 years old. In July I had to leave because of the exams at the University.
In May my friends asked me to help them with their baby and now I’m sitting with Andrusha. I make food and feet him, change clothes and diapers, go for walks and take care of him.
I’m sure my babysitting experience will help me to take a good care of your children if you choose me.
I would like to visit the US very much. I was already there in summer 2010, in South Carolina, Hilton Head Island on the student program Work & Travel. I liked the country and people. But I lived there with my Russian friends that’s why I had little opportunity to know well the culture and traditions. I hope I’ll know them better this time. Also it will be a good chance to know American family relationships, to meet interesting people, to make new friends and to improve my English.
Hope to see you soon!
