Hello!
I am a young, graduated individual who loves children. I am eighteen years old (I will be 19 in April), and am from a Mennonite background.
I would love to be given an opportunity to be a part of, and to help, a family.
Right now I am in a situation where I have recently finished a six month, federal government-funded volunteer program called Katimavik. A week before the program started, I graduated from my private highschool, with no professional work experience. I have recently acquired a job at a retail store as a cashier, and have been accepted into university for this spring term. Although I am dedicated to my new job and intend on finishing my spring term at the University of Winnipeg, I yearn to use my newly-found skills obtained from my time away to help a family who needs childcare.

I have not been employed as a child-caregiver, but I have experience taking care of children through my mother, who owns a privately-owned daycare, and through volunteering at child-care centers through a Canadian-government funded volunteer program (Katimavik). I worked in Newmarket, Ontario with a YMCA Childcare Centre for three months, 48 hours a week. This was volunteer work, but was intended as to be volunteering in a work place environment. I obtained work experience through my time spent here.

Les deux étaient avec des enfants françaises (Acadien). Cette éxperience était nouvelle et stimulante pour moi, et il a m'aidé pour obtenir des compétences sociales. Aussi, j'ai reçu une nouvelle confiance en ma langue secondaire.
