Bonjour, Ahlan, my name is Shamiram Lazar or Shamie for short. I was born in London, Ont, Canada but I have been living in the United States for 15 years. I attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I am majoring in International Studies with an emphasis on the Middle East and I have a minor in Arabic and French. I speak 4 languages; Aramaic, English and I understand and can get by with French, and I am learning Arabic. I love to travel and I have studied aboard in France with my sister for 1 semester in Aix en Provence. While living in France, we had the opportunity to travel all around Europe and also to Tunisia. I will also be traveling to Egypt in the summer of 2011. From these experiences I have learned a lot and grown into an independent individual. I have 4 younger cousins whom I have watch over and cared for. Through them I have learned a lot about children and that all children have different needs. Through them I have also learned a lot about myself.
