My name is Martyna and I come from Poland. I'm 23 years old and currently I study Italian language and Child Development at Silesian University of Technology. I will graduate in July and after that I will be qualified and certified teacher. (so I can teach your kids Italian and Polish language) After the graduation (2 of July) I would like to go to USA as Au Pair one more time. I have been Au Pair in the USA for over 20 months. I’ve been also Au Pair in Rome (for 5 months) and in Ireland (for 4 months). Thanks to all those stays and experiences I’m definitely more mature and responsible. I love having fun with kids and play with them, but safety is always at the first place. I’m also very creative, cheerful and open minded. When it comes to my experience with children, it is quite big. I will start with the experience in USA. I had the chance to spend my 20 months with a wonderful family. I took care of 3 kids: twins Ben (13 with ADHD) and Alec(13) and Olivia (9). My basic day : I had to wake up kinds, prepare breakfast and lunch for school, make sure that they didn’t forget anything, than I had to take them to school. After that I had time off. Then I had to pick up kids from school and drive home or to after school activities. When we came home I had to make sure they make their homework. After that we were swimming in the pool, going for walks, watching movies, running around lake. As you can see they were not small babies and I was more like a big sis than a nanny. And it worked out great! We had such a good relations and we still keep in touch. The funny thing was that we all had dark hair (me and Olivia long) and everyone actually thought the we are sisters. And we never denied.e we were :) (You can see it on my profile pic)
Then I was Au Pair in Ireland. I took care of 4 kids: Tara (14 years old), Cianan (7 years old), Fionn (6 years old, with Down Syndrome) and Saorla (2,5 years old). My duties: during summer: waking up children, preparing breakfast, playing, going to playground, sometimes putting to bed, preparing dinner/lunch, going for a walk, organizing play dates, bathing the youngest girl and changing diapers. during school year: waking up, preparing older kids for school, playing with Saorla. On vacation: preparing brekfast, going to the swimming pool, going for walks. Their parents even went for a weekend to other country and I was alone with kids. So I know what does it mean to be full time mum :)
During summer 2011 I was AP in Rome I took care of 2 kids: Catherina (2 years old) and Daniele (4 years old) When they had preschool I had to prepare them, I had to make breakfast, help with washing teeth ecc. After preschool we spent a lot of time in the park and walking. We were often going to the sea and fun parks.
I'm also a Italian teacher in kindergarten and I give private lesson. So as you can see I'm all the time surrounded by kids.
