I have worked with children since I was 12 years old. I began as a babysitter, moved on to become a camp counselor, mentored one-on-one as a "Big Sister" and gave time to those without a match in the mentoring program. I was a "Big Sister" all throughout college. Afterward graduation, I decided not to use my degree in marketing and became an assistant director at an afterschool program instead. My hard work and obvious enjoyment caught the attention of the school's principal, and he suggested I become a substitute teacher for his school. From there, I was recommended to teach a character education program over the summer in a group of housing projects. That was challenging, but it only made it more clear to me as to what I am here to do. I strongly believe that children are the future, and that the more time spent with them while they are developing will make a huge difference in who they become. Although I love working in a classroom, at this stage in my life I'd like to spend some time in places I've never been. Being an Au Pair nanny can make that possible.
