While I have never been an Au Pair before I worked in a pre-k daycare/school for over 1 1/2 yrs. I was the assistant teacher to a class of 10 12-24mo olds. We took care of them (often for 12hrs a day), kept them on a routine, loved them and taught them basic pre-k curriculum. Ie. Colors, numbers, objects, manners etc. I have also worked with four and five yr olds as well as newborns.
