Letter To Family

Dear Family,

My name is Benny, I'm 19 years old, and I'm currently attending college. I love children and I love to travel and learn about new cultures. Although I live in America and have never been out of my home country, I wish to explore different parts of the world. I feel that the US is too small for me haha.

Since I am able to speak English fluently, I would be more than willing to teach your children English if you would like. I know the basics of French as I have been studying the beautiful language for about 4 years now. I am also in the process of learning Japanese. I hope to learn many languages. I'm taking culture related courses as well.

I am very creative and imaginative and I love keeping things organized. When needed, I do chores around the house. I don't like to see things cruddy. I am a very laid back kind of girl, but when I need to I get right on my feet and do what needs to be done.

I live with a semi-big family: a father and mother and 3 brothers (2 younger, one older and in college). I have 3 cats, a few dogs, pigeons, and sometimes puppies, chickens, ducks, roosters, and geese so I have some experience in taking care of animals. My family and pets mean the world to me, so I understand the importance of family. :)

Experience

I have never been an au pair before; however, I have experience in babysitting and childcare. I took a childcare class in 11th grade in which we did all sorts of fun things with the pre-schoolers: we read them stories, organized activities for them and helped them with their crafts, made them snacks, and helped them use the bathroom. I had lots of fun doing that.

Also, I have babysat for a friend, who has 2 young children. I changed the youngest one's diaper, made them snacks, sang them songs, watched their favorite tv shows with them, took them to the park, and put them to bed.

In 5th grade, I was usually assigned to going next door and playing with the kindergartners. I loved the kids and it seemed like the kids loved me too. I played dress up with them, went outside and tossed a ball around with them, helped them learn the colors and how to spell their name, etc. Although it was a long time ago, I remember almost everything and how enlightening it was.

As well as children, I also have experience in animal care, so if you have pets I would be more than willing to take care of them. I mostly have experience with taking care of cats, dogs, and pigeons, but not so much with chickens, roosters, or geese.
