Dear Future Host Family,

I am so excited to meet you! My name is Amina. I am a 22 year old undergraduate student from the United States who has been living in France for over a year to complete my studies. I initially chose to pursue my degree overseas because of my fascination with learning about different cultures and languages. The experience has been so fulfilling thus far that I intend to continue my life abroad even after my studies are complete. It would bring me so much joy to have the opportunity to spend time having fun and learning together with your children. I am very active and enjoy outdoor activities as well.

Experience

I have 6-7 years of experience caring for children of all ages. Since moving to France from the US over one year ago, I have also gained experience in teaching both English and French as a second language and have been loving every minute of it. I am currently working as a nanny for an agency called Babylangues, where I use English language-learning research models and apply them to everyday life with the 3 year old I work with. Apart from that, I volunteer at an association called Espace 19, where I help various immigrants improve their French level in order to pass the DELF language exam and gain their citizenship. Becoming an au pair or live-in tutor during this time would be the perfect combination of my extreme passions: teaching, language exchange, and childcare. I find it extremely rewarding for both me and the children I work with to be able to engage in a safe and fun language-learning environment.
