Many jobs are advertised as being all about the children. We are not looking for an au pair for the children but an au pair for the family. While this job does include a lot of time with the children, it is a "housework heavy" job.
Your role would include
- general housekeeping duties (washing, ironing, cleaning including bathrooms, changing sheets, tidying, sweeping)
- making lunch for Harry and Tilly to take to school
- walking Harry and Tilly to school each day
- driving Tom to preschool
- playing with Tom on Tuesdays
- picking the kids up from school
- driving Harry and Tilly to music in Gordon on Wednesday afternoons (Tom will be at school at this time)
- cooking dinner for the family for each night
- helping Harry and Tilly with their homework
This may sound like a lot of work, please remember that the kids are at school each day.
You will be free each weekend, although we may request babysitting sometimes, which you do not have to accept. Our current au pair also gets asked to do babysitting by other local families.
