Dear family,

My name is Lisa and I am writing to tell you a little about myself and my wish to become an Au Pair in your family.

I am 18 years old and live in Leipzig, a bigger town in Germany, where I was born on August the 31st 1993. There I am living together with my parents Bettina and René and my little brother Toni, who is 14 years old. Often I spent time alone with him when our parents are working. While we are alone at home I cook with him, help him with his homework, we go out in the park and I took care of the household. My family is pretty important for me and I am really happy about their support for my wish to become an Au Pair.
At the moment I visit a secondary school and expect in May 2012 to leave school with an A Level.

In my free time I do ballet and show dancing in a dance academy for 14 years. I really love to dance and to feel the rhythm. Furthermore I like to play volleyball and to walk along the streets and parks. I also enjoy baking, meeting friends, reading good books, go shopping and to watch films.

Since 2010 I am thinking about doing a year abroad as an Au Pair because I like to work with children and to be there for them. Not only that I also want to support a busy family. An other reason to become an Au Pair is that I am very interested in languages and other countries and cultures. I would like to improve my English knowledge and to meet new friends. It’s my biggest wish to become an Au Pair and I am sure it will be a great and formative experience to share my life with your family for a whole year.

So, why you should choose me? I am a very self-confident, friendly, strong and thoughtfully girl who loves to spent time with children. I like to go out, to bake and to play with them all games you could imagine. I acquired many experiences in dealing with children the last two years. At the moment I take care for a 5 years old boy and two girls (2 and 4 years old) and a boy (8 years old) from an other family. I really like to spent time with them at every time of day. While caring for children I have learned that you should be there for the kids at every time. They really need you in different situations and you have to listening to them very carefully. I also learned that you should cause children to laugh as well as you can do.


In conclusion, I would like to thank you very much for taking your time to get to know me better. I am looking forward to being an Au Pair and also a family member in your family and to spend a great as soon as unforgettable year with you.

Expériences en garde d'enfant

Since November 2010 I am caring for the 5 years old child of the Wüsteneck family. Finn Luis is a boy and was 4 years old when i started caring for him. Monthly I care for him on evenings, daytimes and overnight. I enjoy it to play outdoor with Finn. Often we roll on the meadow and are animals who run by the grass. I like to dance with him and to watch a film after kindergarten. Often we draw pictures together and play Memory or something like this. After eating dinner, we clean always together the teeth and then we lie down in the bed. Before sleeping we often sing a song and I read to him from a book.

Futhermore in November 2011 I started caring for three children of the Matthes Family. Weekly on Thuersdays I did care for the two girls Lilly (2 yeas old) and Lara (3 years old) as well as the Boy Ben (8 years old). I really loved it to be a model with Ben and Lara. Often we combed our hairs, put some lipstick on, did some pigtails and walked along the flat. It was very funny and I loved their smiles. Sometimes we played doctors and ate lots of chocolate together for example at Christmas time.
