I am 18 years old and have just finished my high school. I was set to go to university, when I realised I’m not ready yet, and I would like to first spread my wings. I grew up in a rural town called Malmesbury, South Africa. You might be mistaken by my appearance, thinking that I am European, because I have blue eyes, blonde hair and a big smile.

I e from a family of 5. My parents are both self-employed. My father is a medical doctor, and my mother owns a travel agency. I am the oldest of three. My sisters are 15 and 8. Because I am 10 years older than my youngest sister, I have been looking after her since she was a baby and we have a wonderful relationship.

I decided to take a year off studying to bee an au pair. I love children, and experiencing new things. I believe au pairing is a bination of two things I love. I have been studying German on my own, but need a lot of practice! I am also fluent in English and passed matric with distinctions in both English and Afrikaans. Our family had an au pair when I was 9. I learned so much from her, and I want to have the opportunity to share the same experience with other children.

I would be a great au pair for your children, because I love children and children love me. I am creative and fun and will be able to entertain them all the time. I believe that I have an above average intelligence and I would be able to assist your children with their homework if needed. I’m a good cook and prepared to assist in your house wherever I am needed. I am also pleting a first aid course. I am a very responsible person and I will take my task of caring for your children very seriously.

Expériences en garde d'enfant

Through the years, I looked after many children in both formal and informal context. I have been a camp counsellor a few times, and have been teaching Sunday school at the local church for two years. I have also babysat after school and on weekends since i was 14. I’m currently working at a kindergarten for children aged 1-6, 3 times a week. I’ve helped my parents look after my sisters since birth, and took care of them on many occasions. I am also the eldest child in my parents’ circle of friends, and spend a lot of time playing with our family friends children. I can comfortably say that I sincerely enjoy spending time with children.
