How can I get in contact with aupairs/host
families from Aupair.com homepage?
To get access to the search for aupairs/host families on the
aupair.com website, you have to register. This registration is free of charge.
If you agree to pay a member fee you will get access to the contact details.
You will have complete access to an aupair or family’s contact information once
you login with your username and password. You can then contact the people you
are interested in yourself.
Au Pair .com does not give further support regarding visa processes or any
other arrangements regarding the placement process. We only provide contact
details on the internet.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE:
- We do not give any guarantee that the registered persons of our website are
still available or suitable host families or aupairs. We do not have any
documents of any of our registrants nor do we carry out any checks on them.
- The payment fee is the only fee we do demand from you. It is only for
getting contact details.

How many people can I contact once I have made
the payment and received the access?
You can see contact details of unlimited number of registrants, but:
Host families can only see contacts of aupairs which intend to become aupair
in the host family's country.
Aupairs can only see contacts of host families living in the two target
countries which the aupair specifies in her/his registration form.
Do I have to send any application forms or documents to Au Pair .com if I am
interested in becoming an aupair or in taking an aupair for my family?
No, please do not send us any documents. Our service is limited to online
internet domain. You pay the member fee for getting contact information online.

I have made the payment and received access
rights from you but I cannot see any contacts, why?
Please be aware, you have to login correctly, otherwise the contact details
will not be viewable. Please go to login, enter your username and password,
click on “Go“. You will be taken to a welcome page with a title “Welcome, your
username“.
The login is only correct if: Your username appears at the left side under
MEMBERS in red letters, below “logout“, then “edit your data“, then “delete your
data“.
Then please go to “SEARCH“ for aupairs or host families. You come to a
searching filter. Please give in the important criteria for your search but
please note if you give less criteria more matches will be found. The option
“username“ in the searching filter needs to be filled out only if you search for
a specific person whose username you know. Please click on the grey button under
the filter “ok“. A list of matches found will come up under the blue searching
filter. At the right of this list you find “more details“. If you click on this
option a new window with the whole information (also contacts) will open.
If the new window opens, but without any contact details then please check
the following:
If you are a registered host family and searched for aupair contacts:
Please check if you put your home country in the searching filter. Without
this the system does not show you the requested contacts.
If you are a registered aupair and searched for family contacts:
Please check if you selected one of your target countries from the country
list in the blue searching filter. Your target countries are the ones you
specified in your online Registration Form while registering at aupair.com. You
can only see contacts of families from those countries.

I tried to contact a registered person from your
website, but she/he does not answer. What should I do?
We advise patience in such a case. Often people do not check their emails
everyday. And it is quite likely that you may receive a reply in a week or 10
days time.
If you do not receive any reply at all, then try contacting again, perhaps
also by phone or fax. If the efforts still do not yield any results, then it is
likely that the person or family is not available anymore or does not have any
interest. Please do not contact Au Pair .com in such a case, we can
unfortunately not help in such cases.

We want to prevent you from falling victim to a
scam.
That is why we highly warns you do not send cash, Checks, Western Union or
MoneyGram payments in advance to any one! There are several scam schemes. 1.
A person who is posing as a Host Family sends emails and bogus checks to Au
Pairs and Nannies as supposed advance payments for au pair and nanny services,
only to follow up with an email stating that his wife and daughter (or twin
daughters in some cases) have died in a car accident and then he requests that
you send him a new check as he no longer needs your services. His ploy is to
send you a bogus check and then have you send him a good check or a payment by
Western Union.
2. A person who is posing as a Host Family sends e-mails to Au
Pairs forwarding them to his ticket agent: "Contact the ticket agent and make
enquiries about the tickets and working permit document from your country to UK
and gets back to me via email don't worry about any expenses that this might
cost you i shall refund all expenses incurred by you after you get here when i
pick you up from the airport, i just want to be sure if you really want to work
for me..." You send money and never again hear from this person. And if you
send the money, the travel agent may contact you and ask for additional payment
claiming that the first amount is insufficient.
3. Attention! This one is a brand new type of scam scheme! A
Host Family tells an Au Pair that will move to Au Pair's town. To guarantee the
Au Pair position, they suggest to send $ to the Au Pair in advance if she/he
opens a bank account in a specific bank. Thus the Family appears to be a
trustworthy and reliable one. But soon after, the Family contacts the Au Pair
again and begins asking money for different purposes regarding the Au Pair
placement.
Be cautious! Schemes may be elaborate, involving supposed travel
agents, professors, deans, parents and other false references. Do not let
yourself be fooled. |
