Would you like to go abroad for the summer? Come to see how we live, enjoy our culture and learn some English :) We want an aupair for at least 6 months, but it seems most want to start in September, so in the meantime, we will take someone just for the summer!! This is a great experience for anyone willing to explore another culture and another part of the world........we look forward to meeting you!!!

I would like to update my profile. It seems some people are confused by what we are looking for so I would like to explain in detail. My family (daughter 11, son 8 and myself) are looking for an aupair to stay a minimum of 6 months, but up to a year is preferred. We want someone with a basic knowledge of english who wants to learn to speak english fluently by living with an english speaking family.


I am a single parent and I work full time. My job requires me to work evenings and I am out 3 nights a week at work. My children see their father regularly and with my work hours, the days I am off and the time my children are with their dad, my aupairs are only required to work about 18-20 hours every two weeks and never on weekends. What I want to provide to an aupair is all the meals, internet, cell phone, family activities, laundry, tv in your room with cable and full use of our home. As you can having all your accomodations and living expenses paid for and only working part time, you can understand why I do not pay out a wage to you.

If you are coming to Canada to earn money, there are lots of part time jobs you can do without a visa. These are jobs that will pay you cash. If you are coming to learn our cultures, learn english and experience this side of the world, you will need not money at all :)

Our family needs an older sister, someone who is not shy, who wants to learn how we celebrate our holidays, how we cook, how we spend time as a family and who wants to part of our dinner conversations at the dinner table. We dont want a slave or a housekeeper. We want just another member of the family.

We live in a city close to Toronto, Niagara Falls and Buffalo New York. There is lots for you to see and do, but you have to want it. You cant be shy, you must be outgoing and not afraid to try new experiences.

We are not opposed to having your family and friends come to visit, in fact we encourage it.

If you are serious about becoming an aupair, and are prepared to book the flight and have a passport (visa is not required because you will not get paid)....then please send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. If financially you are not prepared to book a flight, or your county requires you have a visa PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO ME.

Your room will have a tv, internet access, closet and a bed. And it is close to the kitchen if you get hungry at night :)

Your job duties would include picking my kids from their bus stop and walking them home, helping with homework, and serving their dinner. There will be lite cooking from time to time, dishes and clean up after meals and if I need help with anything else I will ask. Because I am a single parent my ex-husband takes the kids a couple times a week. This means you will only work PART time as an aupair. All your meals, outings and living expenses will be paid by me. You will need to bring your own personal hygiene products if there is something particular you use, computer and cell phone. I have a cell phone you can use while you are here, but I will only pay for local calls texts. We really want another member of our family not just another person living in our house. I hope you understand :)
