Dear Family,
Hi, I'm Jocelyn, a 22 year old Chinese girlwho can speak English well.I cook very well,love sports and animals.I have a keen interest in child care and have a desire to work in this area in the future.I have experience as a baby-sitter from looking after my 3-year-old nephew while his parents worked. I was responsible for carrying out mothering duties, as well as entertaining and playing with him.

I love cooking very much. All my friends love my cooking. In our hometown,we often steam food to keep nutrition. You can look at the pictures I showed in my profile. Right now I am living with my boyfriend and I take care of most of the housework. Both he and I are always trying to keep our room tidy and clean. Tidy and clean places can make you happy and organized.

I have further experience taking care of children from working as a volunteer teacher in poor areas of China for two months. During this time I taught English to local children and chatted and played with them in the school environment. This was a learning experience for me because the living standard there is below the standard of my own city, but I felt very proud to teach them English because in those poor places most children have little chance for education and struggle to enter university because of their poor English scores. My work was volunteer because in these poor areas people cannot afford to pay for education.

I also perform similar volunteer duties at old folk’s homes. Volunteers help them with bathing and changing clothes, as well as feeding them meals and so on. I love spending time with the elderly, since taking care of them gives me a sense of contribution. I first gained experience of this taking care of my disabled grandma for 3 years while I studied in high school.

I am very keen to gain experience working in another country with children and feel I have the responsibility and experience to do a good job. Further, I am fluent in both Chinese and English, and feel I can offer children an enriching cultural exchange where I can learn from your family, and you can learn from me.Since it's my senior year now, I am taking the teacher intership in a primary school now, trying to get more experience with kids. Athough i dont have a driver license now,I am pratising to get one.
