Dear future host family,

HI! I am so excited to find an amazing new family to work and live with, as well as experience a new country and culture. I have a great passion for traveling and seeing all the beauty the world has to offer, and I think becoming an Au Pair will fit my personality perfectly.

I am flexible and open to most any family's situation. I am mainly just anxious to connect with the right family and start a new chapter. I am flexible on the start date as long as it's June or later, as I made commitments to my current nanny positions to stay until the end of the school year :) I can be your Au Pair for as little as 3 months and as long as a year, depending on what you're looking for.

I hope you'll consider me in your search. I am down to earth and fun to be around. I try to get along with everyone I meet and I know I will be a big help to the family that chooses to welcome me into their lives!

Experiência com crianças

Although I don't have an Au Pair experience yet, I have worked with children in several different settings and age groups. While in school, I volunteered at my church's nursery with another girl my age. We supervised and entertained a group of about 6 or 7 toddlers, and it was always really fun. We had our challenging times, but I worked in that class for about a year and loved it!

This past summer, I worked at a day camp for 4-6 year old kids. We had multiple art and science projects, music and movement time, teamwork building games, imagination stations, as well as outdoor activities like swimming, golf, tennis, and kickball. It was a blast, and I wish it wasn't just a summer position! I gained true leadership skills in that setting, and formed great bonds with the kids and my co-workers.

I am currently working part-time as a babysitter/mother's helper. I look after 2 kids, aged 1 and 3. We do a TON of art projects, play outside, do puzzles, and just be silly together. It's definitely a different atmosphere caring for siblings, but I have quickly adapted to the situation. I praise the older sister when she shares and cares for her younger brother, and do my best to explain why her younger brother does the things he does. That's mighty hard to explain to a 3 year old!

I am also working part-time as a morning nanny with another family, so altogether I have full-time hours throughout the week. I nanny for a 5 and 9 year old brother and sister. I arrive early in the morning as both parents leave the house around 6 am for work. I wake the kids up and get them dressed, prepare breakfast, make school lunches, give the boy his medicine, feed and medicate the family dogs, and clean up a bit around the house (i.e. dishes, laundry, etc). I make sure the kids brush their hair and teeth, and have everything they need for the school day. I drive them to the school 15 minutes away, sign them in, and then do some errands for the family, like grocery shopping, dropping off/picking up dry cleaning, getting the cars washed, etc.
