Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Greetings Au Pair,

I'm Fred, and my wife is Juan. We form a joyful and easy-going family with two vibrant and healthy daughters: Rebecca, 20 years old, currently studying in a U.S. college, and Elsa, an energetic 11-year-old. Our home is in the downtown of Chongqing, a prominent city in southwest China known for being the temporary capital during World War II and a modern tourist hub, celebrated for its captivating night views and contemporary architecture. In our household, we embrace values of humanitarianism, friendliness, equality, and honesty, without any particular religious or political inclination.

Over the years, we've had the pleasure of hosting au pairs from various places such as France, the U.K., Egypt, and Spain. Our shared experiences have been delightful, involving activities like walking, chatting, exploring culinary delights, watching movies, shopping, visiting scenic spots, and enjoying hot springs. We hold immense respect for each au pair and cherish the opportunity to exchange and embrace diverse cultures.

We are hopeful that you are a positive individual proficient in both English and French, as you would play a vital role in teaching Elsa. Despite her six years of English learning, she excels in listening and reading, but struggles with writing and speaking. Additionally, she has no prior experience with French, and we hope you can initiate her (and us)into the language. While I can communicate in English, my proficiency may not match that of reading and writing.

What you'll get:
A warm host family;
Learn about Chinese culture;
Opportunity to learn Chinese: If you want, we can teach you Chinese.
Pocket money: 400USD/month
( Some infor as reference:
Traffic ( walking from our home): Bus stop: 2 minutes; Subway: 10 minutes.
Local price: Meal: 2-6USD/person ; Coffee: 2.5-4USD/cup; Traffic: 0.3-0.8USD,varies with distance)

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. If you find our family intriguing or have any questions, please feel free to leave us a message.

Warm regards,

Fred & Juan
