Letter to the family

Dear Future Family,

Thank you for stopping by my profile.

I am 28 years old. I am from South Africa and have lived in Zambia, Botswana, Australia and currency in Scotland, UK. I have always wanted the opportunity to undertake a career in either nursing, child are or social work but haven't made the cut financially so I decided to become an aupair not only to give me some sort of experience with care but also because this is something I'm really passionate about. I do not have children of my own but would love to one day, for now I would love to dedicate my time taking care of other children and just being helpful to their daily lives.

On a more personal level, I am hardworking, respectful, trustworthy and reliable. I always work with professionalism, accuracy and honesty. I would be more than able to meet your expectations in terms of cleanliness, timeliness and professionalism of response. The only thing is I do not drive but would love to learn to drive and possibly own my a car in the future.

I understand living with others may not come easy to all but I have lived with so many people from a different background to mine and the opportunity to learn about another culture has been the most rewarding part of my life. I love learning other people's way of living.

I do not need a visa as I have one already.

I am very easy going, friendly, approachable and helpful. in my spare time, I can enjoy anything from reading, taking a walk, learning to cook a new dish, cycling etc. I find myself enjoying even things I have not done before so I am usually open to a whole lot of activities.

if you would like to know any more information that's a bit more specific to what's included in this note the please let me know.

Experience

I am naturally caring by nature and like looking after others, so this is a career that has always interested me although I have never had the chance to really pursue it professionally due to lack of finances. I believe it is very rewarding to give someone a better quality of life or contribute to their lives positively. I also feel strongly there is no place like home but a live-in help is a hugely positive alternative to my on home . The live-in lifestyle suits me because it means I have no overheads and can save for the future and hopefully be able to pursue my career at a professional level.. I also love spending time with children, the elderly, people in general – talking to them, cooking for them and generally making their lives happier and more enriched.

In the last year I have lived with an amazing family and help look after their 2 children aged 2 and 5. It was a great experience and leaving the family ,made me feel like leaving a part of me behind but the change was inevitable following one of the family member's redundancy, sad times. sigh! So I am here again, looking for another family to join.
