Letter to the family
Dear Host Family,
My name is Patricia, and I would love to become your next Au Pair. I am a kind, open-hearted and deeply empathetic person, with a true passion for helping others—especially children. I'm currently looking for a host family for the summer months (June to August, either one, two, or all three months), and I would be thrilled to spend this time in a sunny, beachy area where we can enjoy the outdoors and do fun activities together.
I was born in Germany, where I lived for the first six years of my life, and then moved to Spain, where I have lived ever since. I hold both Spanish and German nationality, which has given me a multicultural background and a deep appreciation for different languages and cultures. I’m currently studying Nursing at the University of Navarra in an international program. I also hold a degree as a Nursing Assistant and completed three years of medical school. Throughout my life, I have always had a strong calling to care for others, whether in healthcare or in daily life. I learn fast, adapt easily, and love discovering new things every day.
I have a lot of experience with children. I’ve looked after my younger sister and all my cousins growing up, and have worked as a nanny for several families. In my recent summer jobs at a campsite, I naturally connected with many children—so much so that we stayed in touch even after their vacations ended! I'm someone they trust quickly, and I always do my best to make them feel seen, safe, and happy.
I love animals (especially horses and dogs) and would be more than happy to help care for any pets you may have. In fact, being surrounded by animals and nature brings me a lot of joy. I enjoy horse riding, hiking, swimming, and spending time outdoors. I would love to be active with the kids—whether it’s playing games, exploring nature, or going for walks by the sea.
Music is also a big part of my life: I currently play the piano, used to play the clarinet, and have taken singing lessons as well. I would love to share that passion with your family, and maybe even with your kids! I also love reading, languages (I speak Spanish, German, and English fluently, and I’m currently teaching myself French and Italian), and learning about different cultures. I truly believe that every day brings a chance to grow and connect with others.
As an Au Pair, I hope not only to care for your children with love and responsibility, but also to become a part of your family—sharing moments, traditions, and learning from each other. I'm positive, respectful, organized, and full of energy, and I would give my very best to make this experience meaningful for everyone involved.
Thank you so much for considering my application. I would be delighted to get to know you and your family better!
Warm regards,
Patriciaa
