Emily (29 / Ms. ), American, Teacher living in USA looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in Italy, New Zealand, Spain, Thailand & USA for 2-5 Months

I nannied for a family with a child on the Autism Spectrum for 2 years (2019-2021) in Atlanta, Georgia. Although I did not live with them, I did work for/with them full-time, and even had the opportunity to travel with them multiple times, of course living with them during these trips. I could see the positive effect my presence brought to the family. I could help them by working with their children so they could get their work done. I was able to provide a valuable service just by being myself. I would do art projects with the kids, play sports with them, or take the kids to sport practices and events, or attend events with the family to ensure that everyone could have a good time. They had 2 children that I was responsible for, and one is one the Autism Spectrum so it was important they had extra support. I would take the kids to appointments, grocery shop and tidy their house, although they did have an actual maid, I just kept the house tidy throughout the day. It was one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had, and I only left them for an opportunity to travel the world. That's why I want to be an Au Pair. I want to continue to travel and explore the world, and I want to be able to give back to the people and communities that I visit.
