Letter to the family

Dear Host Family, my name is Mathilde, I am 22 years old, and I come from a village in the Southwest of France. After finishing my studies last June, I would now like to have an enriching experience as an au pair abroad.

I obtained a Master's degree in Health Biology at the University of Limoges, after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences at the University of Pau. Before beginning my professional career as an engineer in a research laboratory, I would like to fully experience the adventure of an au pair for a period of 3 to 5 months, I’m available from September.

Passionate about discovering new cultures and having always had a special affection and connection with children, this experience is particularly close to my heart. Naturally patient, caring, and dynamic, I have always loved being around children and taking care of them. Since my teenage years, my babysitting experiences with children in my family and neighborhood have helped me develop other skills, such as responsibility and creativity.

To tell you a little more about myself, I am a calm and serious person who is full of joy and positivity. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially with my little sister, with whom I am very close. I also enjoy cooking, doing sports, and I love hiking.

I can’t wait to start this adventure to offer my help, share my culture, and also immerse myself in yours. One of my goals is also to improve my English. I can read and understand English relatively well, but it’s still difficult for me to speak it. So, I’m even more eager to improve my speaking skills over the weeks as I integrate into your family.

Of course, I’m willing to assist with household chores if needed and actively participate in family activities. My goal is to build a trusting relationship with you and your children, ensuring that this experience is beneficial and enjoyable for everyone.
