Hi there! My name is Maria Clara but everybody calls me Maria, I'm 24 years old and teach English at a language school as a job. I live with my family, my mom, dad, sister and our dog! I love to travel and experience different cultures, I think it makes me more aware, respectful and empathetic towards other people. I also love music, the beach and doggos. I am very patient, hard-working, caring, independent and open-minded.
I'd like to be an Au Pair because I love being around kids, I think it's so captivating how loving and genuine they are, and after over 4 years working as an English teacher I've been craving a new challenge. I've always been able to adapt easily to new environments and get along with everyone. Entertaining kids is something I find joyful and have experience with. I'm very open, willing and also excited to learn everything that comes with being an Au Pair.

Experience

I've had a lot of experience with kids during the past 4 years at my job and always had a blast doing so. Coming up with meaningful and fun activities; assisting them in the bathroom, lunch break and out of the classroom activities; and providing a safe and confortable environment with discipline, responsibility and care are some things I am used to doing on a daily basis.
My sister is 5 years younger than me and I would also help look after her. Preparing her some food, helping with homework, bathing, biking with her to school and so on. I also have a lot of cousins, so our house is always surrounded by kids and I babysit them whenever my family needs me to.
