Letter to the family

Hey, I am Dilsen and I am a 21 years old student from Turkey. I'm currently studying tourist guiding in Ege University but because of the pandemic, the schools are onlline so I am studying from home. I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures, that's why I am studying tourist guiding, so I can guide tourists all over my country and meet new people along the way. I have been learning English for a very long time and it's been a center of my life pretty much. So I am trying to teach young kids English in charities and privately. I always wanted to become a teacher but unfortunately I took another path so I am fulfilling my passion by helping kids whenever I can. I have no sibling so I always love bonding with younger kids especially. I am not an active person as of now unfortunately but I used to play tennis and basketball at school. I love singing but since I haven't practised in years, my voice is not the best now so I wouldn't make noises!

Experience

I want to experience new cultures, new foods, listen to new stories, make memories with new people. And as I mentioned before, I love kids so working with kids would be a very nice experience. I would learn a lot of things from everyone I meet along the way. Also I would want to invite my host family to my country in the future as well so that they can experience my culture and Turkish food of course! I am sure I could make my host family's life a bit easier by helping them out in every way I can. And hopefully I would learn how to cook the cultural foods as well because I wouldn't want kids to eat pasta all the time haha!
