Letter to the family

I’ve always had a strong passion for working with children, and I find great joy in helping them grow, learn, and discover the world around them. Becoming an Au Pair & Nanny feels like a natural next step for me, as it allows me to combine my love for children with my desire to experience life in a new culture and country. I am excited about the opportunity to become part of a family and play a meaningful role in the children's daily lives, supporting their development while also learning from them.
I also appreciate the idea of a cultural exchange. Living abroad not only gives me the chance to share my language and culture but also helps me immerse myself in a new environment and language. I believe this experience will help me grow personally and professionally while giving me the ability to build lasting, meaningful relationships with both the children and the host family.

Experience

I had the incredible opportunity to work as an Au Pair in Scotland for six months, where I cared for three wonderful children. The children were aged 2, 5, and 8, and I was responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for them while also supporting their daily routines.
My daily tasks included preparing meals, helping with homework, organizing playdates, and engaging in creative activities like arts and crafts, outdoor games, and reading. I also took care of the children's laundry, light housekeeping, and ensured that their bedrooms were tidy and comfortable. I was involved in school runs and making sure the children were on time for extracurricular activities like swimming and soccer.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role was helping the younger child with potty training and supporting the older children with their school projects. I gained a deep understanding of the different developmental needs at each age and learned how to tailor activities and routines to meet their individual needs. I also developed strong communication with the parents to ensure that everyone was on the same page regarding the children's schedules, behavior, and general well-being.
This experience not only strengthened my caregiving skills but also taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and clear communication when working with children. I had the privilege of becoming an integral part of the family during my stay, and I developed a close bond with the children, which made the experience even more fulfilling.
