Christina (27 / Ms. ), American, Caregiver living in USA looking for Au Pair job in Mexico, USA, Japan, Nepal & Vietnam for 10-18 Months

Hello, my name is Tina.
My experience with children started young, I have six brothers and I am the 3rd oldest.
I was very involved in sports, academics, horseback riding, and art growing up. I often volunteered to work with kids in 4-H youth program.

In college I worked at the prestigious gifted and talented program called Arkansas Governor's School where I helped supervise and mentor 400 16-18 year old attendees for 2 months in the summer for two years.

After college I joined Americorps and worked with court mandated children (ages 13-18) and mentored and tutored them in math, English, and science. While doing Americorps program I was substitute teaching in public schools and studying for my TEFL Certification to teach English abroad.

I then went to Nepal for 1 month to volunteer at a youth nonprofit, helping with daily care and English teaching (ages 5-16). After this I traveled to China and taught at First Leap Language Center for three months, then COVID hit leading me back to the US.

Once home I got a job as the Center Director at a math learning company called Mathnasium. Here I was in charge of the well-beng and education of approximately 50 children (ages 6-18). I worked here for 1 year.

I then was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to be an assistant teacher in Nepal for 9months. I primarily worked with grades 4th-7th, for 25 hours each week. During this time I lived with a host family of 5 members and enjoyed a cultural exchange.
