Letter to the family

Hello!

I have recently graduated from Loughborough University with a Bachelor of Arts in Textiles: Innovation and Design. I thoroughly enjoy all things creative and love photography! I also enjoy baking, I have my own part-time baking and events business which I managed alongside my degree. I exercise regularly, enjoy keeping fit, socialising and reading in my spare time.

I belong to a big, close-knit family. Among my siblings, I have two older sisters (aged 29 and 32) and an older brother (35), making me the youngest of the bunch. Additionally, I have the joy of being an aunt to three nephews (aged 8, 3, and a newborn just 4 weeks old!) and a niece (6 months old). Spending time with them is something I absolutely cherish.

I regularly take them on little adventures, and witnessing their happiness brings me immense joy. After years of looking after my nephews, I've been inspired to explore the world of being an Au Pair/Nanny. Seeing how much they enjoy spending time with me and eagerly anticipate our weekend outings has motivated me to create a fun, thrilling, and joyful experience for your child or children.

My time at boarding school began when I was 13 years old, which has given me a deep appreciation for childcare. This experience ignited my strong interest in the roles and responsibilities of a nanny/au pair. Growing up in that environment fostered my independence at a young age and taught me valuable skills, including household chores, cooking, time management, cleaning, and laundry.

I am also very passionate about well-being and mental health. I am regularly educating myself on this topic, completing courses and further developing my understanding. I also understand the importance of well-being and overall happiness within childhood and the elements which build a strong foundation for children to develop. Creating a fun, balanced, exciting and healthy lifestyle for children is also an essential part of their well-being which I am very much passionate about.

Experience

I've dedicated my time to volunteering at a local Brownies group, where my role involved caring for and supervising children between the ages of 7 and 10. This experience was a significant part of my journey towards earning my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

In addition, I frequently babysit my nephews and nieces, and I love taking them on exciting adventures and outings.

Furthermore, I took on the responsibility of supervising a diverse age group during a summer school dance program. Collaborating closely with the dance teacher, we successfully orchestrated a captivating dance performance for parents at the culmination of the summer school.

I had the privilege of being chosen as the Head of House at my boarding school, a role I felt truly honoured to hold. This responsibility included organising weekly meetings with our dedicated staff members, extending a warm welcome to new boarders, planning exciting activities, and addressing any concerns or friendship matters to ensure that everyone felt comfortable and part of our close-knit community.

Additionally, I was proud to serve as a student ambassador for Loughborough University, a position that came with a diverse range of responsibilities. These included overseeing school visits, organising engaging activities, conducting campus tours, and providing one-on-one mentoring to fellow students.
