Hi there, I am a mama of two and also a Mimi to two beautiful grand girls. I raised my two kids on my own most of the time and I learned quickly to navigate the unique emotional, social, and intellectual needs of each child, one very different from the other. I'm proud to say both kids turned out to be responsible and caring adults and my grand girls by my first born, a daughter, are delightful little humans. I was fortunate enough to be able to care for my first born granddaughter for almost two years, nearly full time, while her parents both worked. It was an experience I'll always treasure.

While my kids were young , I went back to college and earned a degree in American sign language interpreting and then interpreted in educational settings so that I could maintain the same schedule as my children. I have worked with students with one or more disabilities in K12 and higher education settings for nearly twenty years and I value that experience immensely.

As my grandgirls have gotten older and more independent, I find myself yearning to explore the world and I would appreciate the opportunity to serve with a family who might be able to appreciate my skills in sign language as well as my experience with children in general.
