Dear future host family,

My name is Yuchen, I'm Chinese and currently a third-year computational linguistics student at Paris Cité University. Before that, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the Department of French Language and Literature at Beijing University of Foreign Studies.

After several years of intensive study, I would now like to take a moment to breathe, discover the daily life of a French family, and share my joie de vivre, energy, and skills with children.

In China, I had the opportunity to gain extensive educational experience. During my internship at a school, I led elective classes introducing the history, culture, and customs of Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.

I also had the opportunity to work as a private tutor for six months, which allowed me to develop my teaching skills and listening skills in a more personalized setting.

I have also participated in several international volunteer missions: in Morocco, I taught French, English, and Chinese culture to children aged 3 to 6; and in Bali, in an orphanage, I taught English, natural sciences, and Chinese culture to children aged 4 to 15.

All these experiences have taught me patience, responsibility, and adaptability—essential qualities for an au pair.

Thanks to my academic achievements and rigorous study, I can also assist your children with their homework and help them progress.

I am fluent in Chinese (mother tongue), French (DALF C1), and English (IELTS 6.5). These language skills allow me to easily adapt to multicultural environments. At the same time, my studies and my interest in programming (Python, Java, JavaScript) have allowed me to develop solid logical reasoning skills, a good level of mathematics, and a structured approach to problem-solving.

I am passionate about Chinese and French literature, guitar, and Chinese painting, and I enjoy organizing creative activities for children.

I am convinced that my seriousness, enthusiasm, and desire to share will allow me to easily integrate into your family and guide your children with kindness and care.
