Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Emma Lou. I am 21 years old and I am currently working as a bartender and serving for a catering company in Georgia. I went to college for a year for film and media. I decided to not continue school because I was unsure of what I wanted to pursue and I wanted to really see if school is something I want to do. I know I want to travel and the see the world a little before I dedicate my life to my career. I would absolutely love the opportunity to become an Au Pair. I want to become an Au Pair because I have always wanted to travel and live as a local and get to experience new cultures/ ways of living. I am good with kids and enjoy doing fun activities with them. I have a few years of experience babysitting and I am good with housework as well. I would appreciate the opportunity to get to know your family and explore the country.

Experience

I have nannied a good bit in my life. I nannied for a mother who had a 5 year old girl for about a year and really enjoyed my time with them. Most days I would pick her up from school, do some homework, feed her, and play games/ take her to the playground until her mom would get home around 9 pm. I also babysat her during the summer where we would be together from 7 am to 9pm. So I had to come up with new activities/ games so that she wouldn't be bored. When she would get upset, I would talk her through it and try and help her understand why she was upset rather than just punishing her. She appreciated this and we grew to be really close. I love being outside too. I love seeing new people, places, and cultures. I also love swimming, the beach, nature, and trying new food!
