Ansonia (18 / Ms. ), New Zealander & Taiwanese, Student - High School living in New Zealand looking for Au Pair job in France, Germany, Italy, Spain & United Kingdom for 3-6 Months

Dear host family,

My name is Ansonia and I am currently 18 years old, completing my final year of high school education in New Zealand. Though I was born in Taiwan, I have lived in New Zealand and was raised here since I was a baby.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing, and occasionally crocheting as well. I have taken dance classes since primary school, practising ballet for eight years, then tap dance for six. I enjoy playing and umpiring field hockey, and going to the gym. I also like listening to music and playing the piano; over the past year, I served in my youth group’s band at church, singing and playing the keyboard.

Those around me have commonly described me as caring, kind, responsible, hardworking, and conscientious. Additionally, I would say that I have developed discipline, determination, compassion, reliability, and constantly have high expectations of myself. I make a habit of being punctual and organised, and pride myself in being prepared for any situation conceivable.

I was taught many Christian values growing up, which will inevitably influence how I interact with your family and child/children. I believe family is one of the most important things in your life, therefore you must treat one another with respect. I would also like to emphasise that I believe children must be able to recognise their needs and communicate them, cultivating independence and confidence in their everyday lives. I hope to help foster a sense of curiosity in your child/children and encourage them to find and have the courage to explore new things.

I have had various forms of childcare experience. Most recently, I babysat a three year old toddler from church, which largely constituted playing with the toddler and assisting them with the toilet. Another major role I have undertaken is volunteering in my church’s childcare programme for one to three year olds in a leading role since 2023. Additionally, I have been umpiring field hockey for eight to eighteen year olds since 2019, proving my ability to manage and ensure children’s safety in different environments.

Currently, I hold a basic first aid certificate and a NZ restricted driver’s licence. I am planning to study for a comprehensive first aid certificate and attain my NZ full driver’s licence (which permits me to drive other individuals) before travelling overseas. Aside from childcare, I am happy to complete basic household chores, on communication with your family.

I am seeking placement with a family ideally with live-in arrangements, and preferably starting in February 2025. Nevertheless, I am flexible, and more than happy to organise arrangements with your family according to your needs.
