Letter to the family
Hi, I'm Ella :)
I'm an IB graduate and looking for work, but to be an Au Pair would be way more than work, it would be a lifestyle that I feel would suit me. While it may seem scary to take a chance on someone as young as me, I've been working with children my whole life. My mom had a daycare where I would help throughout my childhood, making me more equipped to handle day-to-day activities and untrainable scenarios. Once I got older, I became trained in first aid and did my own babysitting. I've cared for two girls, at different times, one was two years old and not potty trained, and the other was five years old just in need of a full day span of care. Just of late, I come from working in China for 3 months for a wonderful, large family with two children, a baby girl and an 8-year-old boy. I definitely can say I have a lot more experience with children and unforeseeably challenges and circumstances under my belt, which makes me even more confident in any future work.
I have many references and notes of recommendation from teachers, past employers and colleagues, that will note how hardworking and self-starting I am. I'm responsible, mature, and very patient. My education and training from the IB has equipped me to maximise study and learning potential, as well as have a sense of discipline, productivity, efficiency, and organisation. In other words, I work well under pressure and can handle a variety of different kinds of people and social situations, as well as have the self-regulating ability to work on my own, so I won't need prompting or more than necessary instruction to care for your child(ren) in an idyllic manner. I'm especially good at English and literature tutoring, as I tutored a course to three IB students upon my graduation, who excelled in their English exams thereafter. I have various experiences and qualities I believe make me on par with a more mature beginner Au Pair. I'm strong and active so you won't ever need to worry about me fitting into your lifestyle or my getting tired after hours of playing and activities. I'm very adaptable that way and put all my attention where needed, as well as having a knack for multitasking. One of the many perks of being an IB alumnus.
I'm very neat and willing to do as you ask, and as you can probably tell by now, I'm quite balanced. I am a talkative and present person who can be quiet and blend in just as easily. I am willing to be a chameleon and solely do as expected and asked, just as much as I am willing to be a present aspect of your family and your family's day-to-day festivities. I'm energetic and attentive and I innately bring a youthful presence that can give a sense of an older sister influence, or a really cool aunt. I can connect with your kids and show them a good time, all while caring for them vigilantly and responsibly.
I'm an IIN certified holistic health coach, meaning I have studied and immersed myself into all twelve areas of health and have learned how to maximise the potential and development of anyone's wellbeing, no matter what stage of life they're in. I have learned especially how to specify nutritional and psychological care into nurturing the needs of each developmental group, meaning I have experience in providing health and wellness care for children as well. I believe health and wellness begins from within, and I am well equipped to help your child(ren) with their growth and development, ensuring them healthy and prosperous futures.
I'm good at cooking if you put a recipe in front of me lol, and I've been baking on my own for over a decade. I don't smoke or drink, and I don't strongly subscribe to any faith, nor am I opposed in any way to these things. While I do swear, I have no issue holding my tongue, nor does it pose a challenge for me. I will lead a good strong example for your children, and if the opportunity arises, and not to brag, but I can throw a pretty mean birthday party. :PP
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for considering me as a potential candidate for your child(ren)'s care :)
