Hello, dear host family,

My name is Helena and I am very excited to meet you and start this new journey as an au pair in your home. I am 24 years old and I come from Brazil. I am a responsible, friendly, and dedicated person, and I am eager to share my culture with you while learning more about the culture of your country.
I have a great passion for caring for children. Over the past 7 years, I have had the opportunity to work with children of different ages, which has taught me to be patient, creative, and to always find fun and educational ways to entertain them. I am ready to help with daily tasks, from preparing healthy meals to assisting with homework and participating in extracurricular activities.
In addition to my experience with children, I really enjoy cooking, reading, and playing sports, and I am excited to share these interests with your family. I believe these interests can be a great way for us to connect and offer new experiences to the children.
Although my English is not very good yet, I am determined to learn and improve. I see this experience as a fantastic opportunity to enhance my language skills, and I am willing to make every effort to communicate and understand everyone better. I appreciate your patience and understanding as I learn.

Experience

I have experience caring for children, both as a professional nanny and as a caregiver for family and friends' children.
Working as a nanny has provided me with the opportunity to develop essential childcare skills. During this time, I learned to create a safe and stimulating environment for children, to understand their individual needs, and to foster a relationship of trust and affection with them. Additionally, I acquired practical skills such as changing diapers, preparing age-appropriate meals, and organizing educational and recreational activities.
In addition to my experience as a nanny, I have had the opportunity to care for children of family and friends. This experience was equally rewarding as it allowed me to establish close connections with the children I know and love. Being able to witness their growth and development over time was a unique and enriching experience.
