Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,

My name is Gülcan, I am 28 years old, and I have a degree in Visual Communication Design. I am passionate about spending time with children, teaching them new things, and learning together. Due to strong family bonds in Turkish culture, I have actively participated in the upbringing of many of my nieces and nephews, and I find great joy in contributing to their development. Additionally, I have prepared educational and development programs for children through various state-supported projects.

Last year, I had the opportunity to work with children for 12 months as part of an ESC project in Germany, where I supported their development and started learning German. Now, I would like to further improve my language skills and experience different cultures by joining the Au Pair program. Given my experience in Germany, I am particularly interested in countries close to it.

I am a native Turkish speaker and I also know English and German at an A2 level. I have many interests, including playing basketball, swimming, cycling, traveling, Latin dancing, cooking, and photography and videography. I would love to share these activities with your children and introduce them to new hobbies while having fun together.

I can assist with your children's after-school activities, play educational games, and organize creative and enjoyable activities. Additionally, I love cooking and would be happy to prepare healthy meals for your children, teaching them basic kitchen skills as well.

I am patient, responsible, creative, and positive. I see children not as a project, but as individuals whose lives I can genuinely touch. Being like an older sister to them and contributing to their growth is something I truly value. I also approach every problem with a solution-oriented mindset and I am adaptable in various situations.

I believe in maintaining open and harmonious communication with you as parents. I am confident that mutual understanding and support within the family will create the best experience for everyone. Experience

Spending time with children and contributing to their development has always been a passion of mine. Growing up in Turkish culture, where strong family bonds are essential, I have actively taken care of many of my nieces and nephews. This experience helped me build a natural connection with children and understand their needs. Additionally, I participated in various educational projects in Turkey, designing creative learning activities and supporting children's development.

Later, I worked with children in Germany for 12 months as part of an ESC project at a school and a youth center. During this time, I assisted in their education, organized engaging activities, and improved my German language skills. Working closely with children in an international setting broadened my perspective and strengthened my childcare experience.

Becoming an Au Pair is an opportunity to further develop these skills, immerse myself in a new culture, and enhance my language abilities. I love organizing sports, arts, and cooking activities that make learning fun and meaningful for children. As a responsible, patient, and creative person, I look forward to joining a family that values cultural exchange and providing their children with a caring and enriching experience.
