Hii! I'm Joana!
I'm a highly motivated, responsible and energetic university student. I'm currently in my second year studying Law and Business Administration and Management at the University of Barcelona. I have DALF C1 in French and IELTS C1 in English, and my native languages are Spanish and Catalan, I also understand quite good Italian because i've visited Italy several times and I have italian friends who helped me learn the basics. I'd like to be an Au pair because I love children, I've already had professional experience with them and I always learn a lot from them. What's more, I think it's a great opportunity for me to practice different languages and get to know different cultures and traditions up close. I'm passionate about Italian, French and English history and gastronomy.

Experience

I have never been an au pair, but I have a lot of experience with kids. At the age of 16, I started babysitting and giving English and French lessons to children and teenagers. I continued with this odd job for a while until I turned 18 and applied for a formal babysitting job with the company Just for you Kids Barcelona, with whom I started babysitting in luxury hotels for tourists who wanted to spend some time alone in the city. Last summer, with the same company, I was an English summer camp instructor at the Salesian Santa Dorotea school in Sarrià, where we took the children to amusement parks, swimming pools and other types of activities with total safety and responsibility. Since then, I've continued to organize children's events in shopping centers during the vacations, but I've always wanted to make the experience bigger by visiting another country while taking care of kids, and au pairing is the best oportinity for doing so.
