Hello Dear Host Family, I hope you are doing great!
My name is Angela, but everybody calls me Marce, nice to meet you!
I’m 24 years old and I am very excited to know your family and live this amazing experience with you while I improve my English and learn about your culture! I’ve always loved children, so I’m convinced that I’ll love spending time with my future host kids. I’m a loving, creative and patient person so I can say I’ll make them love me just as I will do. I am a person who truly enjoys spending time with kids, whether it’s helping with homework or playing outside, but creating fun activities and making crafts is my favorite!
I was an au pair before in Arizona for a year and 8 months and I can say it was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. I had the opportunity to care for my 3 lovely host kids, learn from a new culture, and grow both personally and professionally, that is why having this amazing experience again would be perfect for me. I enjoyed my time with my host family and loved traveling, knowing new places and practicing my English. If you are interested too in the culture of Colombia and our language, I would be more than happy to talk to you about my country and share as much as I can about my culture. I hope we can help each other during our time together and create a good relationship to enjoy this amazing experience!

Experience

I have taken care of many kids through my life (ages 0-8), I had a couple jobs as a nanny in Colombia and also took care of my cousin since he was born, he is 8 now and I love him very much, he says I am his favorite cousin!
After that I was an au pair in the US for almost 2 years, but I'd love to be an au pair in Europe this time. My experience as an au pair started in January 2023 and I took care of 3 boys, Maverick was 4 when I arrived (6 when finished my time with them), and the twins Holden and Barrett were 1 when I arrived, and 3 when I had to leave. I miss them everyday, and I regularly facetime them to keep in touch! What I liked most about the au pair experience is that I actually got to be part of their family and I learned about the us culture too.
The activities I used to do with them were crafts, artwork, sports, outside walks, playing in the bouncy house, coloring, and with the twins I used to teach them spanish witl learning activities such as image cards, color bears, and shaped toys. My host kids loved singing and dancing with me, and they loved the music videos in spanish too! I just hope I can share my experience with your family and be helpful for you.
