Letter to the family

Hi! I’m Sintija, a 24-year-old ski instructor with a big heart for little adventurers.
During the winter months, I work closely with young children, teaching them to ski while making sure they feel safe, confident, and—most importantly—have fun. Working with kids every day has taught me patience, creativity, and the value of turning ordinary moments into little quests filled with imagination.

I often think back to my own childhood, when the world felt like a magical playground—and that’s the spirit I bring when caring for children. Whether we’re navigating ski slopes or just navigating snack and bathroom breaks, I make sure every child feels heard, cared for, and entertained.

I have experience leading groups of children aged 4 to 6, managing everything from keeping them engaged to coordinating bathroom breaks like a pro (trust me, that’s no small feat!). I believe kids thrive when they’re having fun, and I love using stories, play, and imagination to bring a little magic into every day.

Experience

Although I haven’t formally worked as an Au Pair or Nanny yet, my experience as a ski instructor working daily with children has given me a strong foundation in childcare. I lead small groups, help them build confidence, and make sure they feel safe and supported—all while keeping things playful and fun. Managing their needs, like snack times or bathroom breaks, while keeping them engaged takes patience, creativity, and a good sense of humor—qualities I’ve developed through this work.
What inspires me to become an Au Pair or Nanny abroad is the opportunity to be part of a child’s everyday life in a more personal and meaningful way. I love connecting with kids, seeing the world through their eyes, and making each day a small adventure. I’m also excited about experiencing new cultures, learning from different families, and bringing a sense of warmth, care, and imagination into a new home.
