Letter to the family
Dear Host Family,
I am writing to express my keen interest in becoming an Au Pair in your family. My name is Victoria, and I am a 23-year-old Venezuelan native. I have been living in Toulouse, France, for the past 10 months as an Au Pair, but currently my contract with my family is about to end (last week of June), so I am looking for my next family.
My passion for languages and working with children has led me to pursue a career in education. I hold a degree in Modern Languages and have gained valuable experience as a preschool assistant, teaching English to young children. The year I have been in france has helped me to improve my france skills although I still make mistakes, I can hold conversations.
I am a highly motivated and responsible individual who enjoys building strong connections with others. I am patient, caring, and have a natural ability to connect with children of all ages. I am also very adaptable and eager to learn new things.
As an Au Pair, I am eager to:
Provide high-quality care: I am committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for your children, fostering their growth and development.
Share my culture: I am excited to share my Venezuelan culture with your family through music, food, and traditions.
Learn about your culture: I am eager to learn about your family's traditions, customs, and language.
Become a part of your family: I am looking for a placement where I can build strong bonds with your family.
I believe that my experience, skills, and enthusiasm make me an ideal candidate for your family. I am confident that I can contribute positively to your home and provide your children with enriching experiences.
Thank you for considering my application. I have attached my resume for your review and would be happy to provide you with any additional information you may require.
Other useful information:
-I am comfortable with domestic animals.
-I know how to swim and ride a bicycle.
-I have a driver's license, but I only drive automatic cars, however I am open to the idea of learning manual. My residence -permit expires in the first week of October.
-I don't smoke and I don't have any health problems.
-I don't have any specific dietary requirements.
-I can help children prepare healthy and simple recipes.
-I am open to traveling or going out with the family on weekends, provided I am informed and can organize myself in advance.
As this would already be my third family, I have some expectations to guarantee a good experience without complications:
-A kind and respectful family that wishes to integrate me into their family activities and does not consider me solely as help.
-Being able to speak Spanish or English with the children.
-Free weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
-A maximum working time of 25 hours per week, and if I work more hours, I hope to be compensated with days off or money.
-Accommodation + meals + hygiene products included.
-The possibility of attending French classes or having a sporting activity.
-Public transport covered (metro/train pass).
-Holidays according to current legislation.
-This point is important because I value my independence, having a space or an annex for myself, but if it's inside the house but exclusively mine, I am not closed to possibilities.
Sincerely,
Victoria.
