Letter to the family

Hello! I am a student from Belfast, UK and I would love to become an Au Pair during my time of doing a gap year between school and University/ College. I have been around kids all my life, from younger siblings to working in children’s summer camps over my teenage years. I have baby sat from as early as 2 months old and have been working for a family for over a year now. I currently work in retail but I would love to explore different cultures while caring for a lovely family full-time.

Experience

While I have not been a full time Au Pair, I have baby sat infants, toddlers and children for up to 8 hours during daytime and night time for parents that live in Big city apartments and houses. I have done duties such as buying groceries, cleaning and making sure that the house is safe for the kids. I have experience in keeping children busy and entertained with arts, crafts and drama. I have worked partly with children with special needs and know how to handle situations of children feeling hypersensitive, overwhelmed or other emotions related to neurodiversity. I have also a certificate in First Aid training in adults and children.
