Hello! My name is Anita Marie and I am a recently graduated high school student from California, United States, however I grew up spending lots of time in Mexico City, Mexico and Lima, Peru. My mother is from Paris, France and my father was from Lima, so I had a very International upbringing and strongly value the importance of a childhood with exposure to many other cultures and languages! My passions include writing (poetry specifically), illustration and art (oil pastels are my favorite medium), dancing (I would love to learn any forms of dance of your home country), baking (specifically, I love making pastries with citrus like lemons and oranges), and of course, children!

Last year, I published a children's poetry book with my own writing and illustrations to help children who have experienced violence and abuse. I have visited local libraries in my area to read it and always enjoy watching and playing with the children coming to listen. I also work as a babysitter for an Italian family here, roughly 15 hours a week, for a baby girl of 15 months and a boy of 3 years. I love working with young children specifically, and teaching them about books, reading, and language acquisition the most! The most important values I try to teach are a love of learning, a respect for nature and plants, and kindness towards others.

I am a very open, adaptable, and spontaneous person who is looking for a warm and inviting family--small or large--to become a part of and care for their children. I love learning about new cultures and learning new things in general, so if there's any special skills or traditions you or your family might have, I am eager to help out!
