Letter to the family

My name is Ayman, and I’m from Tunisia. I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering at TU Berlin. I’ve been living in Germany for a year now, and besides studying, I’ve worked in a variety of jobs to support myself, including roles like Verkäufer, Sicherheitskraft, Kassierer, Reinigungskraft, Servicekraft, Umzugshelfer, bartender, and even a short stint at a Flohmarkt. Although these jobs have taught me a lot and helped me become independent, I never felt truly fulfilled.

What I really enjoy is working with children. I have a natural connection with kids and always get along with them. Growing up, my little sister was like my best friend, and I helped take care of her, which sparked my love for looking after children. I also used to tutor my younger relatives and realized I have a real talent for teaching. I dream of becoming a physics professor one day! As an au pair, I bring enthusiasm and would love to support a family with childcare and everyday tasks.

I grew up in Tunisia, which has a mix of cultures. Although Tunisia is an Arab country, we have a lot of Western influences—we speak French, study in French, and even use French for most official matters, which is why I speak French almost like a native. The influence of the West goes beyond language—it’s incorporated into our manners and everyday lifestyle. Although religion has its influence on the ethics of society, it doesn't apply to me as I don't follow any religion myself. This has made me super open-minded, and I don't think there will be any cultural barriers between us.

In terms of language, I’ve been studying German for a few years and even have a C1 certificate. I may not be completely fluent, but I have worked in German-speaking environments and study in German every day, so I’m very comfortable with the language.

If you're looking for someone who enjoys spending time with kids, I would love to get to know your family. If you think I’d be a good fit, feel free to reach out! ?
