Dear host family:

My name is Izaro and I am 20 years old. I am from a beautiful coastal town near Bilbao, in the north of Spain, called Algorta. I have an older sister named Lur who is 22 years old and we enjoy spending time with the family with my little cousins who I have taken care of and spent a lot of time with them since they were little. The oldest of my cousins is 9 years old and the little cousin is 6.

This year I just graduated as a management assistant and I did my internship in an Italian company called Ceipes for three months in Palermo as administrative. From the first moment I knew that I wanted to do my internship abroad and when I found out that I was awarded the scholarship and that on top of that I got Italy I couldn't believe it, I was very excited, from the first moment I arrived in Italy, I fell in love with the country, we made a few trips from Palermo to different places in Italy and that's why I would love to come back again, but now as an au pair. In this experience I have learned to understand a little more Italian although the languages I speak more fluently are English, Spanish and Basque (the language spoken in the Basque country).


I have always loved being with children, I love to play with them and see them enjoy, and that is the reason that led me to work as a babysitter during the week in summer and during my time as a student, I took care of three brothers of 8, 3 and 10 years in summer and while studying I taught a child of 8 years helping him with the academical dificultues felt very lucky to be able to earn some money while doing a job that I loved and also learned a lot about children. In 2023 I got my degree as a recreational instructor


and went to a camp and took care of children of all ages from 5-9 years old. They have a lot of energy, so I was always looking for new activities to entertain them. I played different games with them, took them to the park or to the pool, read them stories, did baking, crafts, excursions...one of the activities I enjoyed the most were the outdoor activities.

I am a very active person and I love outdoor activities such as cycling, camping or just going for a walk, since I was little I have practiced different sports: Volleyball, ballet, modern dance, athletics and the most recent is pilates which I have enjoyed a lot during the last two years because I feel that this sport goes according to my personality: adaptable, patient and calm. I get along very well with animals and I could take care of them with pleasure so I wouldn't mind if the family had pets. As for the family, I would like to be involved in a warm and receptive environment.
