Letter to the family

Hello!
My name is Rebekah! I live in Virginia of the United States. I am seventeen as of right now, however, I will be 18 by October of this year and gaining an official passport.
I want to become an Au Pair because I love learning about other cultures. I love seeing the ways people live and, in turn, teaching them about myself! I hope to gain skills such as communication, education, and as many languages as I can!
I have grown up in a big family, I am the second oldest child out of seven-so I know that kids and siblings alike can be crazy. I love being around kids, they’re so funny, and family is very important to me. Being an Au pair would be very special to me because then I could gain a deeper appreciation for life and for differences.
I like to learn and also I like to work hard to my goals. I work an after school job and am currently studying for the ACT right now!
I hope to let you know that I am very excited to get to know you and your family!

Experience

I have not yet had the opportunity to be an Au pair. However, I have been a big sister my whole life and also took on many baby sitting jobs throughout middle and high school. I also took an ECE class(Early Childhood Education) during my Junior year of high school where we held actual preschool classes and were in charge of around fourteen children every day for the whole year.
I would live to become an Au pair because it’s different than the other opportunities to be abroad. By being directly in a household it would be as if I were a part of a family of there. I could see deeper into everyday lives of normal people instead of the glossy picture you would see normally!
