Letter to the family

Hi,
My name is Agathe, and I am originally from Le Mans, France. I currently live with my family in Toulouse, France. French is my first language, but I am learning English and Spanish at university. I have been to Spain twice, and it was an amazing experience. I would love to get to know the country better.

I am studying foreign languages at university, so becoming an au pair at the end of my first school year sounds like a great opportunity to learn more and meet people from another country.

Why am I qualified for this position? I am a very calm and responsible person. I am also reliable and always try to find the best solutions if any problems arise. Additionally, I coach children and have completed training to become a coach, so I am used to working with kids. I know how to make even the most boring things interesting for them—at least, I try!

Experience

I have not worked as an Au Pair yet, but I have experience caring for children in other contexts. For example, I have been a coach for children, which has helped me develop skills like patience, responsibility, and creativity in keeping kids engaged. I also have a natural ability to connect with children, making them feel comfortable and understood.

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad because it is a perfect combination of my interests: working with children, experiencing a new culture, and improving my language skills. Living with a host family would give me an authentic experience of a new country while also allowing me to contribute to the family's daily life. This experience would not only help me grow personally but also professionally, as I aspire to work in a field where communication and intercultural understanding are key.
