Dear future host family,

my name is Diandra, I am 20 years old and come from Germany. I currently live with my mother and my big brother. After graduating from high school, I am about to complete my training as an office management clerk. But now I want to take on a completely new challenge - as an au pair in the USA!

The reason why I decided to become an au pair is very simple: I want to get to know new cultures, improve my English skills and, above all, work with children. The au pair program offers me the perfect opportunity to combine all of these wishes. Traveling and discovering the world is one of my greatest passions. I am looking forward to experiencing life in the USA from a very personal perspective and not only learning the language but also understanding the culture from the inside.

I believe that I am the perfect candidate for your family because I have a great passion for dealing with children. I really enjoy playing with them and having adventures - for me there is nothing better than seeing the world through children's eyes. I have a lot of patience, empathy and creativity, which helps me to build a close and trusting relationship with children. It is also important to me to take on responsibility and to be able to contribute to everyday family life with organizational skills and flexibility.

My previous experience in dealing with children ranges from babysitting to a 5-week stint at a primary school where I worked with children aged 6 to 10. These experiences have helped me to develop a better understanding of children's needs and how to support them in their learning process. Even though I had little experience in babysitting, I always did it with a lot of dedication and cared a lot about the well-being of the children.

I would also like to be able to teach the children some German. Children of this age have enormous learning success and learn very quickly, especially when it is done in a playful way. I would be delighted to introduce them to a new language in this way and create a playful, interesting learning atmosphere.

I am also a very responsible and open-minded person who likes to learn new things and wants to develop further. I am sure that as an au pair I will not only be able to offer the children an enriching time, but will also learn a lot about myself and other people. The opportunity to develop personally and linguistically motivates me enormously.
