Letter to the family
Hi, I'm Ava! As of January 2025, I am 17 and completing my final year of high school in Sydney, Australia, but I intend to become an au pair in the United States in February of 2026, at the age of 18. I want to become an au pair because I have a passion for working with children, and I hope to explore the United States and learn about a new way of life.
I understand that choosing the best au pair for your family can be extremely difficult. If you select me as your au pair, I assure you that I will make it the best experience possible for you and your children. As I have been babysitting since the age of 15, I am qualified and dependable, making me an ideal candidate to be trusted with the opportunity of looking after your children!
I am extremely organized and reliable, as well as being a very good communicator and someone who is very quick to open up. I am generous and compassionate but can be assertive when necessary.
In terms of taking care of children, I like to play (with dolls, crafts, Legos, tag, anything!) right beside them. I would absolutely love to care for and build a lasting relationship with your children! I am also willing and able to assist with schoolwork when needed.
I am comfortable and confident in completing housework, such as cooking and cleaning, and I am extremely independent, as well as being very flexible when it comes to routine.
I am the type of person that you will always find with a baby or child at a family gathering. Working with children has always been my passion. I find it extremely rewarding and so much fun. I know that childcare is what I am meant to do in my life. Combining my love of children and travel, being an au pair is perfect for me.
My experience with traveling inspired my decision to au pair in the USA. At the age of 9, I was fortunate enough to go to the United States over the Christmas period, and I absolutely fell in love with everything about the country. For the last 8 years, I have been talking about my dream to live in America.
I am so excited to begin this new chapter and direct my energy towards what I am passionate about, as well as finally being able to fulfill my lifelong dream of living in the United States. I hope that you will consider me to fill this extremely important role for your children.
I have been babysitting since the age of 15, making me experienced in childcare. I have had the opportunity to be trusted to care for a variety of family and family friends children in both one-on-one and group settings. I have experience with a wide range of ages and feel extremely comfortable in my skills and abilities among all age groups.
I feel comfortable caring for, and would like to au pair, children aged 1-13 but have the most experience caring for children aged 2-8.
While in cheerleading, I was one of the oldest in a junior age division team, where I became very close with, and a mentor, to the girls aged 8-10.
I am CPR and First Aid certified, as well as a holder of an Australian driver's license.
