Letter to the family

I am an 18 year old American girl currently in college that plans to live in Japan in the future! I am the fourth child in a family of six children! I would like to become an Au Pair to help a family in need of an extra hand and be a positive influence to the children I would care for while also exploring potential futures for myself in Japan. I love to work with children and am a great example of a responsible, kind person that children typically love. I have worked with younger children in the past during a summer camp ranging from the ages of 3-7 years old. I also have experience with babysitting a young 10 year old girl (as of Jan 2025) that has come to view me and call me her big sister!

Experience

I am specifically looking for jobs in Japan as I am interested in residing here in the future as I mentioned earlier. I have two friends from Tokyo and Kyoto that I visited in the summer of 2024. Therefore, I do have some experience with the public transportation system as well. While I do not know Japanese well on a conversational level, I would love to learn more of the language and culture. Other than the benefit of being in a country I love, I also plan to work with children as an English teacher in the future. Therefore, becoming an Au Pair can help me increase my experience and learn to bond with children even better!
