Dear future host family,

My name is Bella, I’m 20 years old and currently studying Spanish and Business at the University of Bath, in England. I’m writing to express my interest in becoming an au pair with your family this summer.

I’ve worked as a babysitter in the UK for the past four years, and I’ve also taught English and French to younger children. I really enjoy spending time with kids — helping with homework, playing games, being outside, reading together — and I always try to bring energy, kindness, and patience to everything I do.

I’m looking for an au pair position because I’d love to improve my Spanish in a natural way, and I think living with a family is one of the best ways to do that. At the same time, I’m confident that I could offer a lot to your household: I’m reliable, friendly, and experienced with children, and I’d take the responsibility of looking after your children seriously. I am also experienced in housekeeping which makes me a perfect candidate to take care of any other needs around the house such as cleaning, cooking, and general maintenance.

Experience

I really enjoy spending time with kids — whether it's helping with homework, playing outside, or just chatting about their day.

I’d love to become an au pair abroad because it feels like such a unique way to combine a few things I really care about: working with children, improving my Spanish, and experiencing everyday life in a new country. I'm excited about the idea of becoming part of a family's routine, helping out where I can, and learning from the experience.
