Letter to the family

Originally translated from Português
Hello, my name is Maria Elisa, but you can just call me Elisa. I graduated in law 2 years ago, but I don't work in the field, as I have dedicated myself to teaching circus activities to children at a gym here in my city. I have been practicing aerial acrobatics for four years and teaching children has been a great learning experience, as I have been able to see the evolution of human development. I have a younger brother who is autistic, so taking care of him has always been shared by the whole family, which has made me broaden my horizons in terms of communication, fun and expression of people. We play basketball together, I teach him to play the piano and we like to read comic books, especially, and he loves to sing and dance.

For two years I have been teaching circus classes to children aged 4 to 11, 3 times a week, in which the work is done in a playful way through games aimed at self-awareness and expression, in addition to teaching technique and discipline. During school holidays, I have also been to circus workshops at a summer camp for children of the same age group, where we explored teamwork and attention. In addition, I have worked at parties and children's plays in which I was a Disney princess, such as Elsa, Rapunzel and Barbie. Creating a connection between the child and that character was incredible. I was able to see the immense world that exists in children's imaginations and deal with all the creative questions in an intriguing way. It was quite challenging, but I believe it gave me a very enriching experience.

I would like to be an au pair to study human development even further, which is an area that interests me a lot, even for a future master's degree in psychology so that I can have more knowledge and contribute more to my students. In addition, I am trying to learn French so that I can get into a master's degree in Europe.

I will try to create the best relationship with this family that will welcome me and entrust me with their children. I believe that staying at your home to take care of the children is a favorable exchange experience, both to keep the children busy off screen so that they can develop consciously, albeit in a playful way, and for cultural expansion within the home space. I would also like to learn more about another culture and this exchange of experiences can be a unifying one.

Experience

Originally translated from Português
I have never been an au pair in other countries, but I take care of my brother who has level 3 autism with my parents, in addition to all the physical activities we do together. I have worked in camp programs where I took care of children aged 6 to 10, where we played games, developed dance, circus and theater performances.
